Hardcover. [VOLUME IV ONLY]: Very Good: shows moderate wear to the extremities, with tiny spots at three corrner tips and at the head and heel of the backstrip which have worn through the fabric to expose the board a tiny bit; very mild overall rubbing; the slightest spine lean; former seller's price at the front free endpaper; former bookseller's pasted stamp at the front pastedown endpaper; the fore-edge has darkened slightly; the front flyleaf has been removed. The binding remains secure, but both the front and rear hinges show incipient starting; the text is clean. Despite a number of minor flaws, remains a handsome little volume: clean, sturdy, and quite presentable. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 12mo. (7 x 4.5 x 1.3 inches). 427 pages. Frontispiece Engraving. Edited by George Long Duyckinck. The text regulated by the Folio of 1632; with readings from former editions, a history of the stage, a life of the poet, and an introduction to each play. To which are added glossarial and other notes by Knight, Dyce, Douce, Collier, Halliwell, Hunter and Richardson. Dated from introduction. Pages bright and clean and free of markings, soiling or staining. Bound in publisher's Green cloth over boards with embossed panels and backstrip and Gilt Titles at the backstrip. Top Edge Gilt. Sewn-in red ribbon marker. Hardback: No DJ 'as issued'.
