The following Act of Parliament is referred to at the end of the last volume.

An ACT for naturalizing fuch foreign Merchants, Traders, Artificers, Artizans, Manufacturers, Workmen, Seamen, Farmers, and others, as fhall Jettle in this kingdom, the 20th of G. III. c. 19.

WHEREAS the increase of people is a

means of advancing the wealth and strength of any nation; and whereas many foreigners and ftrangers, from the lenity of our government, the benefit of our laws, the advantages of our trade, the fecurity of our property, and from the confideration of the plentifulness of all forts of useful and profitable commodities with which this your majefty's kingdom of Ireland abounds, might be induced to come and fettle in this kingdom, if they were made partakers of the advantages and privileges which the natural-born fubjects of this realm do enjoy.

Be it enacted by the king's most excellent majefty, by and with the advice and confent of the lords fpiritual and temporal, and commons, in this prefent parliament, affem
