And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he 17 cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and be gathered together unto the great supper of God; that ye 18 may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of those that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.

And I saw the beast, and the kings of the 19 earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. And the beast was taken, 20 and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived those that had received the mark of the beast,

Καὶ εἶδον ἄγγελον καταβαίνοντα ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ, ἔχοντα τὴν “κλεῖν τῆς ἀβύσσου, καὶ 2 ἅλυσιν μεγάλην ἐπὶ τὴν χεῖρα αὑτοῦ. ἐκράτησε τὸν δράκοντα, τὸν ὄφιν τὸν ἀρχαῖον, ὅς ἐστι διάβολος καὶ ὁ Σατανᾶς, καὶ ἔδησεν 3 αὐτὸν χίλια ἔτη, καὶ ἔβαλεν αὐτὸν εἰς τὴν ἄβυσσον, καὶ ἔκλεισε ε καὶ ἐσφράγισεν ἐπάνω αὐτοῦ, ἵνα μὴ ὑπλανᾷ ἔτι τὰ ἔθνη, ἄχρι τελεσθῇ τὰ χίλια ἔτη· *' μετὰ ταῦτα δεῖ ἐλυθῆναι αὐτὸν μικρὸν χρόνον.

These both

were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. And the remnant were 21 slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

XX. And I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on 2 the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, and 3 cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled after that he must be loosed a little

season.

Καὶ ὅταν τελεσθῇ τὰ χίλια ἔτη, λυθήσεται ὁ 8 Σατανᾶς ἐκ τῆς φυλακῆς αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐξελεύσεται πλανῆσαι τὰ ἔθνη τὰ ἐν ταῖς τέσσαρσι γωνίαις τῆς γῆς, τὸν Γωγ καὶ τὸν Μαγὼν, συναγαγεῖν αὐτοὺς εἰς τὸν πόλεμον, ὧν ὁ ἀριθμὸς αὐ

and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of those that were beheaded because of the testimony of Jesus, and because of the word of God, and such as had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received the mark upon their foreheads, and on their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. And 5 the rest of the dead lived not until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in 6 the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
