E it remembered, that on the fifteenth day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seven, in the thirty-second year of the Independence of the United States of America, Mary Tappan, of said District, has deposited in this office the title of a book, the right whereof she claims as proprietor, in the words following, to wit: "Sermons 66 on important Subjects, by the late Rev. DAVID TAPPAN, D. D. "Hollis Professor of Divinity in the University at Cambridge. "To which are prefixed a Biographical Sketch of the Author " and a Sermon preached at his Funeral by Dr. Holmes."

In conformity to the Act of the Congress of the United States, "intituled, "An Act for the encouragement of learning, by se"curing the copies of maps, charts, and books, to the authors "and proprietors of such copies, during the times therein men"tioned:" and also to an Act, intitled, "An Act supplementary to an Act, intitled, An Act for the encouragement of learn"ing, by securing the copies of maps, charts, and books, to the "authors and proprietors of such copies, during the times there"in mentioned; and extending the benefits thereof to the arts "of designing, engraving, and etching historical and other "prints."
