Revive Thy churches with Thy grace,
Heal all our breaches, grant us peace;

Rouse us from sloth, our hearts inflame

With ardent zeal for Jesus' name. May young and old Thy word receive ; Dead sinners hear Thy voice and live;

The wounded conscience healing find,

And joy refresh each drooping mind.
Vay agèd saints, matured with grace,
Abound in fruits of holiness ;
And when transplanted to the skies,
May younger in their stead arise.
'hus we our suppliant voices raise,
nd, weeping, sow the seeds of praise ;
In humble hope that Thou wilt hear
Thy ministers and people's prayer.

To seek that grace which now they

Numerous around Thy temple gate ;

Each pressing on with zeal to be
A living sacrifice to Thee !

EVIVE Thy work, O Lord,

Thy mighty arm make bare ;
Speak with the voice that wakes the dead,
And make Thy people hear.
Revive Thy work, O Lord,

Disturb this sleep of death;
Quicken the smouldering embers now,

By Thine Almighty breath. 3 Revive Thy work, O Lord,

Create soul-thirst for Thee;
Ind hungering for the bread of life,

O may our spirits be!
+ Revive Thy work, O Lord,

Exalt Thy precious name;
And, by the Holy Ghost, our love

For Thee and Thine inflame. 5 Revive Thy work, O Lord,

And give refreshing showers;
The glory shall be all Thine own,
The blessing, Lord, be ours.

Thy needy servants' cry;
Answer Thy people's earnest prayer,

And all our wants supply.
On Thee we humbly wait;
Our wants are in Thy view;
he harvest, truly, Lord, is great ;

The labourers are few. Raise up and send forth more Into Thy church abroad; nd let them speak Thy word with power, , As workers with their God. Give the pure gospel word, The word of general grace ; ee let them preach, the common Lord, The Saviour of our race. þ let them spread Thy name; Cheir mission fully prove; y universal grace proclaim, "hine all-embracing love!

INATION AND RECOGNITION OF MINISTERS.

L.M. ATHER of mercies ! bow Thine ear,

Attentive to our earnest prayer; e plead for those who plead for Thee ; ccessful pleaders may they be !

2 Clothe, Thou, with energy divine Their words, and let those words be Thine;

To them Thy sacred truth reveal,

Suppress their fear, inflame their zeal. 3 Teach them to sow the precious seed, Teach them Thy chosen flock to feed;

Teach them immortal souls to gain,

Nor let them labour, Lord, in vain.
4 Let thronging multitudes around
Hear from their lips the joyful sound;

In humble strains Thy grace adore,
And feel Thy new-creating power.

LET Zion's watchmen all awake,

And take the alarm they give;
Now let them from the mouth of God

Their solemn charge receive.
2 'Tis not a cause of small import

The pastor's care demands;
But what might fill an angel's heart,

And filled a Saviour's hands. 3 All to the great tribunal haste,

The account to render there ; Andshouldst Thou strictly mark our faults,

Lord, how should we appear? 4 May they, that Jesus whom they preachi.

Their own Redeemer see !
And watch Thou daily o'er their souls,
That they may watch for Thee.
