Mill, Lawrence Stanyan, John Gourney and for within Thomas Sheridan, do for themselves and every out after the of them, their and every of their executors, adminiftrators and affignes, covenant, promise and grant to and with our faid foveraign lord the king, his heyres and fucceffours, by these prefents, That if any merchant, alien, stranger or denizon, or natural-born fubject, within the faid realm, shall at any time or times, during the continuance of this prefent demife or lease, fatisfie and pay to them the said fir James Shaen, William Hill, William Ryder, Thomas Hoare, Francis Sone, William Mufchamp, Edward Richbell, Stanhop Mill, Lawrence Stanyan, John Gourney and Thomas Sheridan, their executors, adminiftrators or affignes, or any of them, the customes, fubfidy, impoft and other duty due for or in refpect of the transportation of any goods, wares or merchandizes, or fhall at any time or times, during the continuance of this present grant or demife, compound and agree with the faid fir James Shaen, William Hill, William Ryder, Thomas Hoare, Francis Sone, William Mufchamp, Edward Richbell, Stanhop Mill, Lawrence Stanyan, John Gourney and Thomas Sheridan, their executors, administrators or affignes, fervants, factours, or any of them, for the custome, fubfidy and other duties

duties of any fuch goods, wares and merchandizes; the faid goods, wares and merchandizes for which fuch custome, fubfidy or impost shall be payd or compounded for, as is aforesaid, not being fhipped or laden into some ship or other veffel within the continuance of this present grant or demife, to the intent to be from thence tranfported from the ports, havens and creekes aforefaid, into the parts beyond the seas, that in every such case, upon fuch proof thereof to be made as the lord treafurer, vice- treasurer, chancellor and barons of the exchequer for the time being, or any three or more of them, whereof the lord treasurer of Ireland, vice- treasurer or chancellor of the exchequer for the time being, to be one, fhall allow of; the faid fir James Shaen, William Hill, William Ryder, Thomas Hoare, Francis Sone, William Mufchamp, Edward Richbell, Stanhop Mill, Lawrence Stanyan, John Gourney and Thomas Sheridan, their executors, administrators or affignes, fhall within ten dayes next after fuch proof fo to be made, as aforefaid, fatisfie, content and pay, or caufe to be fatisfied, contented and paid unto our faid foveraign lord the king, his heyres or fucceffours, into the receipt of the exchequer of his highness, his heyres and fucceffours, at Dublin, so much money as the customes, fubfidies

Sheridan, their executors, administrators and affignes, in manner and form following, (that is to say) that the lord lieutenant or other chief governour or governours of his now majesties said kingdom of Ireland, and privy council thereof for the time being, fhall and will from time to time, during the continuance of this prefent leafe, fo far as they are impowered by law, constitute and appoint the said fir James Shaen, William Hill, William Ryder, Thomas Hoare, Francis Sone, William Mufchamp, Edward Richbell, Stanhop Mill, Lawrence Stanyan, John Gourney and Thomas Sheridan, or fuch other person or perfons as they, their executors, adminiftrators and affignes, or any seven or more of them fhall nominate and appoint, and no others, commiffioners and collectors of and for the faid cuftomes and fubfidies of tunnage and poundage, and commiffioners and governours of and for the faid imported duties of excize and new impoft, with full power and authority, fo far as the laws will permit, to nominate and ap-point fuch fub-commiffioners, deputies, wayters, collectors, and other officers respectively, in the feveral and refpective ports and places of his majefties kingdom of Ireland, and the islands and territories thereunto belonging, from time to time, during the faid term of feven years, as'
