About the author (1991)

Charles S. McCoy was Professor of Theological Ethics at Pacific School in Berkeley, California. He was an ordained United Methodist minister and the author or coauthor of several books, including When Gods Change: Hope for Theology and Love: The Foundation of Hope. J. Wayne Baker is a former Professor of History at the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio. He is coauthor of The Humanities in the Western Tradition: A Literary Reader.
