God is able to make all grace abound toward you.-2 Cor. ix. 8.

mf 36 THY ceaseless, unexhausted love, 4 Its streams the whole creation reach,

Unmerited and free,

Delights our evil to remove,
And help our misery.

2 Thou waitest to be gracious still :
Thou dost with sinners bear;

That, saved, we may Thy goodness feel,
And all Thy grace declare.

f 3 Thy goodness and Thy truth to me,
To every soul, abound:

A vast, unfathomable sea,

Where all our thoughts are drowned.

So plenteous is the store;
Enough for all, enough for each,
Enough for evermore.

5 Faithful, O Lord, Thy mercies are,
A rock that cannot move ;

A thousand promises declare
Thy constancy of love.

f 6 Throughout the universe it reigns,
Unalterably sure;

And while the truth of God remains
His goodness must endure. Amen.

Who in the heaven can be compared unto the Lord?-Psa. lxxxix. 6.

mj37 THE Lord is rich and merciful,

The Lord is very kind;

He shall be to thee like the sea,
And thou shalt surely feel
His wind, that bloweth healthily,
Thy sicknesses to heal.

[blocks in formation]

The Lord is wonderful and wise,
As all the ages tell;

A fountain ever full.

f 2 The Lord is glorious and strong,
Our God is very high;

O trust in Him, trust now in Him,
And have security.

O learn of Him, learn now of Him,
Then with thee 'twill be well.

And with His light thou shalt be blest,
Herein to work and live;

dim And He shall be to thee a rest
When evening hours arrive.

Edgbaston. C.M.D.

Amen.

Her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much.-Luke vii. 47.

mf38 WE love Thee, Lord; yet not alone,

Because Thy bounteous hand
Showers down its rich and ceaseless gifts cr
On ocean and on land;

We praise Thee, gracious Lord, for these
Yet not for these alone,

The incense of Thy children's love
Arises to Thy throne.

dim 2 We love Thee, Lord, because, when we
Had erred and gone astray,
Thou didst recall our wandering souls
Into the heavenward way.

mf

When helpless, hopeless, we were lost
In sin and sorrow's night;
A guiding star was granted us
From Thy pure fount of light.

3 Because, O Lord, Thou lovedst us
With everlasting love,

And sentest forth Thy Son to die
That we might live above;
Because, when we were heirs of wrath,
Thou gavest hopes of heaven;
We love because we much have sinned,
And much have been forgiven. Amen.

J. A. ELLIOTT.

mf 44 FATHER, how wide Thy glory 2 Those mighty orbs proclaim Thy power,

How high Thy wonders rise! [signs,
Known through the earth by thousand

By thousands through the skies.

Their motions speak Thy skill,
And on the wings of every hour
We read Thy patience still.
