Resolved, (two-thirds of the Senators present concurring therein,) That the Senate do advise and consent to the ratification of the treaty of peace and friendship, made and concluded at Portage des Siouxs, between the United States and the chiefs and warriors of the Yancton tribe of Indians, on the 19th day of July, 1815.

On the question, "Will the Senate advise and consent to the ratification of the treaty of peace and friendship with that portion of the Sac nation of Indians residing on the Missouri river?

It was unanimously determined in the affirmative: Yeas, 27.

Those who voted, are-Messrs. Barry, Bibb, Brown, Chase, Condit, Daggett, Fromentin, Gaillard, Goldsborough, Horsey, Howell, Hunter, King, Lacock, Macon, Morrow, Roberts, Ruggles, Sanford, Tait, Taylor, Thompson, Tichenor, Turner, Varnum, Williams, and Wilson.

So it was

Resolved, (two-thirds of the Senators present concurring therein,) That the Senate do advise and consent to the ratification of the treaty of peace and friendship, made and concluded at Portage des Siouxs, between the United States and the chiefs and warriors of that portion of the Sac nation of Indians now residing on the Missouri river, on the 13th day of September,

1815.

On the question, "Will the Senate advise and consent to the ratification of the treaty of peace and friendship with the Fox tribe of Indians?" It was unanimously determined in the affirmative: Yeas, 27.

Those who voted, are-Messrs. Barry, Bibb, Brown, Chase, Condit, Daggett, Fromentin, Gaillard, Goldsborough, Horsey, Howell, Hunter, King, Lacock, Macon, Morrow, Roberts, Ruggles, Sanford, Tait, Taylor, Thompson, Tichenor, Turner, Varnum, Williams, and Wilson.

So it was

Resolved, (two-thirds of the Senators present concurring therein,) That the Senate do advise and consent to the ratification of the treaty of peace and friendship, made and concluded at Portage des Siouxs, between the United States and the king, chiefs, and warriors of the Fox tribe of Indians, on the 14th day of September, 1815.

On the question, "Will the Senate advise and consent to the ratification of the treaty of peace and friendship with the Great and Little Osage tribes of Indians?"

It was unanimously determined in the affirmative: Yeas, 27. Those who voted, are-Messrs. Barry, Bibb, Brown, Chase, Condit, Daggett, Fromentin, Gaillard, Goldsborough, Horsey, Howell, Hunter, King, Lacock, Macon, Morrow, Roberts, Ruggles, Sanford, Tait, Taylor, Thompson, Tichenor, Turner, Varnum, Williams, and Wilson.

So it was

Resolved, (two-thirds of the Senators present concurring therein,) That the Senate do advise and consent to the ratification of the treaty of peace and friendship, made and concluded at Portage des Siouxs, between the United States and the king, chiefs, and warriors of the Great and Little Osage tribes of Indians, on the 12th day of September, 1815.

On the question, "Will the Senate advise and consent to the ratification of the treaty of peace and friendship with the Kanzas tribe of Indians?" It was unanimously determined in the affirmative: Yeas, 27. Those who voted, are-Messrs. Barry, Bibb, Brown, Chase, Condit.

On the question, "Will the Senate advise and consent to the ratification of the treaty of peace and friendship with the Mahas tribe of Indians?" It was unanimously determined in the affirmative: Yeas, 27.

Those who voted, are-Messrs Barry, Bibb, Brown, Chase, Condit, Daggett, Fromentin, Gaillard Goldsborough, Horsey, Howell, Hunter, King, Lacock, Macon. Morrow. Roberts, Ruggles, Sanford, Tait, Taylor, Thompson, Tichenor, Turner, Varnum, Williams, and Wilson.

So it was

Resolved, (two-thirds of the Senators present concurring therein,) That the Senate de advise and consent to the ratification of the treaty of peace and friendship, made and concluded at Portage des Siouxs, between the United States and the chiefs and warriors of the Mahas tribe of Indians, on the 20th day of July, 1815.

Ordered, That the Secretary lay the fourteen resolutions, last mentioned, before the President of the United States.

The following written message was received from the President of the United States, by Mr. Todd, his Secretary:

To the Senate of the United States:

I nominate Joseph S. Morrison, to be Collector of direct taxes and internal duties, for the fourteenth collection district of Pennsylvania, in the room of David Reiley.

December 23d, 1815.

Resolved, That the injunction of secrecy be removed from the commercial convention with Great Britain, the message and communications accompanying the same, and the report of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, thereon; also, from the treaty with Algiers, and the message and communications accompanying the same; likewise, from the several Indian treaties, and the message and communications which accompanied them.

The two following written messages were received from the President of the United States, by Mr. Todd, his Secretary:
