About the author (2007)

Educated at Wadham College in Oxford, David was a television documentary director and scriptwriter for more than 20 years, working in the UK and North America. He is now a full-time writer based in the Yorkshire Dales and has published more than 30 titles covering a wide range of travel, leisure and local history topics. His previous Travel Publishing titles include Yorkshire, Ireland, Scotland, Dorset & Hampshire, the Highlands & Islands, the Heart of England and the North East of England.
