Since 1886 no article of biographical character has appeared on either Byron or Shelley in this journal with the single exception of the critique on Mrs. Marshall's book in the Athenæum for Nov. 23, 1889. Ten other articles which have appeared on Shelley, are critiques on editions of his works or on works of a purely character referring to them. Nothing of the nature of literary criticism whatever has appeared in the above mentioned journal since 1886 on Byron.
