9th. The word 82, which is found here and in some other places, is out of all grammatical rules, and we should probably read for it : see other places.

11th. It is evident that in this verse 2 is redundant, and

is deficient, and that we should read, with four MSS. 112, or, with thirty-three and the Keri, 1. See c. xxxviii. 9, 11.

12th. The Sam. supplies the word nn, and in three other places afterwards, v. 14, 15, 16. See c. xxxviii. 12.

The Sam. supplies, which is proper, or, rather, 128, after . See c. xxxviii. 15.

18th. Instead of 'ona, which is unnecessary, the Sam. reads N; but, as was observed before in v. 9, this word being out of all rule, I would read ; and, from what follows, it seems requisite

33d. From the circumstances of the text I am inclined to think, that, instead of , we should read 1, “and whosoever shall put of upon his flesh." See v. 38, where there is no mention made of the stranger; though, by parity of reason, there should have been.
