To have witnessed and shared in the beginning and the completion of as many as Fifteen Volumes of this Magazine is a matter of thankfulness, though not unmingled with a feeling of responsibility. Fifteen years of LIFE, LOVE, and LABOUR (to borrow the ideas of one of England's worthies), have passed away, each bearing its humble fruit in these pages, and, as we would fain hope, in the increased efficiency and power of many Sunday School Teachers. Our aim has ever been to vindicate the true position of the Sunday School, to arouse on its behalf the generous and abiding sympathy of Christians seeking the extension of the Gospel they love, and to direct those efforts to the best means of attaining the desired result. |
