THE THIRSTY CROW AND THE PITCHER. A thirsty crow flew to a pitcher of water to get a drink. There was so little water in the pitcher that the crow could not reach it. The crow saw some little stones lying near. She picked them up and dropped them one by one into the pitcher. Soon the water came up till it reached the top of the pitcher, and the thirsty crow got her drink at last. LANGUAGE LESSON.
