GOD WATCHES OVER US.

Do you know that there is an eye

that never sleeps, and

that it sees as well at night as in the daytime?

The eye that never sleeps is God's. His eye sees everywhere. When we are awake, He sees all we are doing. When we are asleep, He is watching over us.

God loves us so much that He has sent

His angels to keep us from doing wrong. They are called Guardian Angels.

[graphic]

We all have angels who are ever by our side. We can not see these angels, but they can see us. In the daytime they walk side by side with us. At night they guard us when we are asleep.

When we are about to do wrong, our Guardian Angels would stop us, if we would but listen when they tell us what to do.

No matter how often we do wrong, our Guardian Angels never become angry. They are praying to God for us by day and by night.

We should give thanks to God for loving us so much that He has sent His angels to watch over us. And we should pray that God will make us listen when these angels tell us not to do wrong.

LANGUAGE LESSON.

(To the Teacher: Let the pupils answer these questions so as to use the past form of the verb without the auxiliary. E.g., Did you see a hole in the sand? I saw a hole in the sand.)

Did you know what Mr. Crab's name was? Did the air drink the water from the pond? Did the little ones run to the mother as fast as they could ?

Did he take his dinner with him?

Did the children think they would get some berries for lunch?

Did this boy drive the cows to the pasture?

Did you hear of a parrot called Polly?
