MORNING. 929 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning. 1 AWAKE, my soul, and with the sun Thy daily stage of duty run: Shake off dull sloth, and joyful rise 2 Thy precious time misspent, redeem; Keep conscience as the noon-tide clear. 5 All praise to Thee, who safe hast kept, 6 Lord, I my vows to Thee renew: 7 Direct, control, suggest, this day, That all my powers, with all their might, 8 Praise God from whom all blessings flow: L.M. WATTS. 930 In the morning shall my prayer prevent thee. Psa. lxxxviii. 13. 1 OD of the morning, at whose voice And like a giant doth rejoice To run his journey through the skies: 2 From the fair chambers of the east And without weariness or rest, rise, Round the whole earth he flies and shines: 3 O like the sun may I fulfil The appointed duties of the day; With ready mind and active will March on and keep my heavenly way. 4 Lord, Thy commands are clean and pure, 931 1 L BARTHOLOMEW.
