Α REPORT, &c. &c. &c. ON the 18th of January, Mr. Juftice JoHNSON was arrefted at his houfe in the County of Dublin, under a Warrant, figned "ELLENBOROUGH," and endorsed by J. BELL, a Magiftrate of the County of Dublin, and said to be fo endorsed purfuant to the Statute 44 GEO. III. c. 92, it being the FIRST attempt to carry the faid Act into execution*. The fame evening a Writ of Habeas Corpus, at Common Law, was fued out returnable immediate before the Chief Juftice, who ordered the Parties to attend, and the return to be made on the next morning, Saturday the 19th, at 12 o'clock. Saturday the 19th, the Party was brought before the Chief Juftice, and the return made t. The Chief Juftice was affifted by fix of the other Judges. A feventh came on the laft day of the argument.
