4 My willing soul would stay
In such a frame as this,
To everlasting bliss.
(L. M.) 1 A , i
ic Another Lord's day has begun; L Return, my soul, enjoy thy rest,
Improve the hours thy God hath blest.
Which none but those who feel it know!
Is the sure pledge of heav'nly rest,
The end of cares, the end of pains.
In holy pleasures, pass away;
Demands the soul's collected pow'rs;
O may our souls adoring own
The grace that calls us to thy throne !
Can ev'ry secret thought explore:
And, where thou art, intrude no more:
And fix our minds on things above!
And bid thy word, with life divine,
Then shall the day indeed be thine;
(11. 4.) 1 N loud exalted strains,
}} : * The King of glory praise; L. O'er heay'n and earth he reigns,
Through everlasting days;
Is his delight, his chosen rest. 2 O King of glory! come,
And with thy favour crown 1
This people as thy own.
How God can dwell with men below. 3 Now let thine ear attend
Our supplicating cries;
Accepted to the skies :
Spread its celestial influence round. 4 Here may the list’ning throng,
. Imbibe thy truth and love;
Of seraphim above:
AR from my thoughts, vain world, be gone;
Let my religious hours alone:
And hold communion, Lord, with thee. 2 My heart grows warm with holy fire,
And kindles with a pure desire,
And feel thine influence from above. 3 When I can say that God is mine,
When I can see thy glories shine,
Send comfort down from thy right hand,

op'ning eyes with rapture see
The dawn of thy returning day; My thoughts, O God, ascend to thee,
While thus my early vows I pay. 2 I yield my heart to thee alone,
Nor would receive another guest; LEternal King ! erect thy throne,
And reign sole monarch in my breast. 3 O bid this trifling world retire,
And drive each carnal thought away; Nor let me feel one vain desire,
One sinful thought, through all the day. 4 Then, to thy courts when I repair,
My soul shall rise on joyful wing, / The wonders of thy love declare,
And join the strains which angels sing.
HYMN 38. (111. 1.) 1 10 thy temple I repair
Lord, I love to worship there: į While thy glorious praise is sung, L.17
Touch my lips, unloose my tongue. 2 While the pray’rs of saints ascend, God of love, to mine attend;
1 Hear me, for thy Spirit pleads;
Hear, for Jesus intercedes.
Fill my soul with humble awe,
Life and immortality.
Peace and pardon in thy name,
(L. M.) After Sermon. 1 A MIGHTY Father! bless the word,
Which, through thy grace, we now have heard; O may the precious seed take root,
vi: | Spring up, and bear abundant fruit ! 2 We praise thee for the means of grace, Thus in thy courts to seek thy face: Grant, Lord! that we who worship here May all, at length, in heav'n appear. 1 HYMN 40.

For the gospel's joyful sound;
May thy presence
ņel Let ev'ry heart prepare a throne,
And ev'ry voice a song.
Exerts his sacred fire;
His holy breast inspire.
3 He comes, the pris'ners to release, L
In Satan's bondage held;
The iron fetters yield.
To clear the mental ray;
To pour celestial day.
The bleeding soul to cure,
T enrich the humble poor.
With thy beloved name.
(111. 3.) 2017! HALL, thou long expected Jesus,
Born to set thy people free!
Hope of all the saints, thou art;
Joy of ev'ry waiting heart.
Born a child, yet God our King,
Rule in all our hearts alone;
HILE shepherd's watch'd their flocks by night,
All seated on the ground,
And glory shone around.
