4 On August 19, 1914, President Wilson nominated Thomas Watt Gregory of Texas as Attorney General to succeed James C. McReynolds, resigned. He was confirmed by the Senate August 29, 1914, and took the oath of office on September 3, 1914.

ORDER: There having been an Associate Justice of this court appointed since the adjournment of the last term,
