THE UNDERSCORED SPANISH NEW TESTAMENT.
The Bible House of Los Angeles is a medium for the distribution of the Word of God. Its field is a vast one, for Spanish is the language of Spain, Mexico, Central America, South America, and our own Island possessions—the Philippines, Cuba and Porto Rico. In all these lands Romanism has had absolute control for centuries, and the result is gross ignorance, superstition and sin. The pure Word of God has been withheld, and these poor people are as much in need of the Gospel as any heathen in the world. Christ is named but not known. These are "lands of many crosses, but no CROSS." What a privilege and a responsibility is ours who have the Word—"allowed of God to be put in trust with the Gospel."
Seven years of experience in this work confirm our belief that the Word alone is frequently used, through the Holy Spirit, to lead sinners to the Savior, and that generally Roman Catholics accept gladly a proffered portion of the Word. Therefore, we are seeking to give a NEW TESTAMENT or a GOSPEL to as many as possible. The Missionaries and Colporteurs of various societies are helping by doing the distributing in their respective fields. No appeals are ever made for funds to carry on the work. God alone is asked.
"Brethren, pray for us, that the Word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you." 2 Thess. 3:1.
