Doxology.

1 THOU art the First, and thou the Last,
Time centres all in thee,

The Almighty God who was and is,
And evermore shall be.

2 To thee let every tongue be praise,
And every heart be love,
All grateful honors paid on earth,
And nobler songs above.

Gloria Patri.

I.

GLORY be to the Father, Almighty God,
Through Jesus Christ, our Lord!

C. M.

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, World without end. Amen.

And by the Holy Ghost,

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, World without end. Amen.

Be near us, O Father! through night's silent hour...

Breast the wave, Christian, when it is strongest..
Brightest and best of the sons of the morning.

Calm me, my God, and keep me calm..
Calm on the bosom of thy God..

Children of God lack nothing..

Come, Holy Ghost, our hearts inspire.

Come, let our voices join.....

Come, thou Fount of every blessing.

Come to the ark, come to the ark.

Daughter of Zion, awake from thy sadness!
Depart awhile, each thought of care...
Do I delight in sorrow's dress

Eternity-Eternity!

Fading, still fading, the last beam is shining.
Father, I know that all my life.

Father supreme! thou high and holy One

Father, we look up to thee.....

Flag of the heroes who left us their glory.

For all thy saints, O God......

From foes that would the land devour

From God, thou Holy Ghost...

Gently, Lord! oh, gently lead ns.

Glorious God, we come to bless thee
God bless our native land.....

Hail to the Lord's Anointed
Hallelujah! raise, oh, raise..
Hark! the herald angels sing..
Hark! the song of Jubilee!.
Hark! the vesper hymn is stealing..
Hark! through the courts of heaven..
Hath not thy heart within thee burned.
Hear, Father, hear our prayer!..
Hear us, heavenly Father, hear us!..
Heralds of creation! cry..

Here in the broken bread

Her eyes are homes of silent prayer
Holiest breathe an evening blessing
Holy Ghost, the Infinite!...
Holy Ghost! with light divine.

Holy Spirit, Lord of light..

Holy Spirit; Love Divine..

How cheering the thought, that the spirits in bliss. How sleep the brave, who sink to rest.

I love my God, but with no love of mine.. In heavenly love abiding..

In the cross of Christ we glory

Is there a lone and dreary hour..
It came upon the midnight clear.

Jesus, lover of my soul

Jesus, the strength of angels strong.
Jesus, the very thought of thee..........
Jews were wrought to cruel madness.

Lift up your hearts! Yes, I will lift...
Lift your glad voices in triumph on high
Light of life, seraphic fire!..
Lord, have mercy when we pray.
Lord of all being throned afar..
Lord of eternal purity!....

Lord, with fervor I would praise thee
Lord, who ordainest for mankind.
Lowly and solemn be.....

Meek and lowly, pure and holy.
Mighty One, before whose face.
My country, 'tis of thee.

My days are gliding swiftly by..
My soul doth long for thee....

O God, whose dread and dazzling brow

Oh for a heart to praise my God!....
Oh, happy day, that fixed my choice

Oh, what though our feet may not tread where Christ trod

Oh, worship the King all glorious above..

O Love Divine, that stooped to share

Open, Lord, mine inward ear...

Oppression shall not always reign.
O, richly, Father, have I been.

O sacred Head, now wounded!

O thou great Friend to all the sons of men.

O thou pure Light of souls that love..

O Thou to whom, in ancient time..
O Thou whose power stupendous
Out of the depths of woe...

Peace, troubled soul, whose plaintive moan
People of the living God....

Planted in Christ, the living Vine..

Ride on, ride on in majesty!..

Rocked in the cradle of the deep.

Rock of Ages! cleft for me

Saviour, who thy flock art feeding.

See, daylight is fading o'er earth and o'er ocean.
Shout the glad tidings, exultingly sing.
Sister, thou wast mild and lovely
Slowly, by God's hand unfurled..
Smile praises, O sky..

Sound the loud timbrel, o'er Egypt's dark sea.
Sovereign and transforming grace..
Spirit divine! attend our prayer
Strike the cymbal, roll the timbrel
Sweet is the light of Sabbath eve..

Tarry with me, O my Saviour!......
The Apostles on the mountain stand.
The day expires!

Thee in the hymns of morn we praise.
Thee we adore, eternal Lord!

The mellow eve is gliding....

The night is come, wherein at last we rest..

.......Hymns of the Ages. 30

Thou art gone to the grave! but we will not deplore thee..
Thou art, O God, the life and light..
Thou Brightness of the Father's ray.

Though faint, yet pursuing, we go on our way

Thou whose almighty word....

Through the love of God our Saviour.

'Tis enough, the hour is come 'Tis Nature's time for prayer.. To Him who children blest.. To thee, O God in heaven..

To thine eternal arms, O God..

Up! up! the day is breaking.

When first the Spirit of our God..
When I am weak, I'm strong

When marshalled on the nightly plain.
When shall the voice of singing.
When Spring unlocks the flowers.
When, streaming from the eastern skies

While thou, O my God, art my help and defender.
