CONCLUSION.

FELLOW-CITIZENS,

I have disclosed no new principle of government, a constitution of general society is only an explanation of general principle. The unity of general governanent consists in general obedience; but because man by partial views for self is prone to rebellion, the necessity of a general constitution is simply the necessary direction of man in the pursuit of general obedience. Liberty's general principle had always existed, but because obedience to absolute government had never been general, the unity of general government had never been practicable; for the want of a constitutional explanation, common sense had never estimated common wealth, consequently as the common people had never enjoyed their common privileges, common knowledge had always been inadequate to general government, common understanding of common rights had never created general action, for the unity of general obedience, because common interest had never excited a unity of general government, for the equal protection of common rights in the free and absolute order of general compulsion to the rebel and common liberty to the obedient.

The common people, understanding their common rights to the common stock and common privileges of all North America, their common interest will at once excite them en masse in the common cause of the conquest of North America from all the partial dominion of foreign nobility held in rebellion to their domestic rights, and thus restore a general union of equal rights of all the Columbian people to their common privileges of their common country.

But because of the common ignorance of general government, a constitutional explanation of the general

principle, becomes a necessary compulsion, for the absolute order of rebels, in general action for the recovery of common rights.

Hence the Columbian Union, by the Columbian constitution; however imperfect if explanatory of general principle, its establishment can never be prevented, and foreign rebellious nobles can never withhold Canada from rising for its general union. Can such a rebellious nobility even support their own existing aristocrary at their island home with all the powers of human command? The inestimable worth of the common stock, of all North America, in general union of the common people, engaged in the common cause of their common privileges of so vast an empire of freedom, and the career of British oppression so violent, will excite them en masse to the general action of united vengeance. Common sense of common rights is momentous, it astonishes rebellious wrongs; truth comprehended rebels must obey, those who join first enjoy first. The many will conquer; the righteous few will repulse a whole world of divided wrong; rebels can never dare to be rebels to general union, their interest prevents it, plain truth denies it, common sense absolutely defies it.

Common understanding of general principle, will restore common rights; partial hypocrisy can never mislead common sense of general liberty; common interest is excited by common oppression. The Columbians having common knowledge of the naked truth of their common rights, their insulted freedom cries aloud for immediate restoration; reform these momentous days of perii; immediately reform says common sense of common happiness; examples of general unanimity from any section, hasten round adjoining circles, extend them through each state, to all the nation north, it raises up the Columbian union.

The new world's common necessity, excites common cause for the general restoration of all North America, for warding off the common oppression of a whole maritime world of wicked sins. The ocean's powerful balance, lost by the fall of the general coalise of naval Europe, excites Columbia's entire revolu

tion, from the ruins of British power to the unity of general government, for the enlargement of an impenetrable independent union of undivided country. The shore's edge of unbroken boundary, as a barrier to British inroads of invasion, cannot be avoided for our security against an unrestrained human power, let loose to float above the vortex of universal reach, with no balance to retard its crimes, in the gathering cloud of human power of worldly evil, an age corrupted with the most extreme human inequality, has no other resistance but the watch word COLUMBIA, equal rights to all; the ocean on the ocean has no balance, human strife of a thousand years, has eventuated in the loss by division of continental sovereignty, and the assumption of rebellious power at the nod of an inaccessible island. Nothing remains a balancing barrier to a sinking world of darkness, than plain truth for the light of the new world's distant union; equals and freemen in support of the soverignty of the continents, against the ocean's overflowing bounds of ruin; human power must some where have a resisting balance or the world ceases to be; worldly power is never balanced by equal darkness, the last opportunity for reformation, remains in the new world's necessary restoration, it is impossible for the world to be with no republic, the conquered aid of Canada's common defence in the common cause of Columbia is our salvation, for not only the sailor's freedom, but North America inaccessible to British invasion, is Columbia's free and general peace. North America to remain as divided North America, is British eternal war, debt and downfal.

The farewel legacy of the father of our former union, so well digested to our common understanding our duty to general union, that our common sense of general defence, guides us to record the sacred truth, that general defence is our only salvation; particular states of opposite views, is military strife and ruin; partial defence is long war, debt, taxation and total ruin; general defence is hasty peace and prosperity; the unity of general government, is the unity of political sentiment; the majority of united minds of all the states unitedly concerted saves us; he is en

tombed at Mount Vernon, that told this sacred principle.

At Columbia's general union I aimed, I hit rebellious parts, the detection of political error requires political humiliation to faithful duty, the contrasting Columbia to Columbia's foes, was to hold them before her naked sons. The great change of this wicked world paints Columbia our salvation; the precarious bounds of our already divided and prostrated federal union, irrecoverably makes no resistance to an age which has brought forth the roaring lion; necessity unites with us all North America, in the true name of our common country, to ward off the old world's sinful chains, that bound the new world's discoverer for the restoration of her long lost rights.

At general union I aimed; impartially I opposed partial views; the party whose policy was general, came simply in my way; how could I help support it, and support my country. General are my politics, I have not been partial, (innocently I may have recorded relative falsehoods,) those are partial who by parts oppose the general union of our country; necessity bound me for our salvation to oppose them, who opposed me my country; I am a friend of all men, I only oppose political error; rebellious state measures we are in duty bound unitedly to oppose, for parts by partial politics are in opposition to general union; in the way of higher powers, partial compacts divide general union. Impartial Columbia knows no opposite views of minor powers; parts are partial to general union's impartial whole partial rebels are enemies to impartial Columbia, they are partial enemies of ruin to themselves, to all the world below, Columbia is superior, she is the higher power. By the majority of general whole, God only knows absolute government; rebels are strangers to his divine liberty, there is but one way to heaven, of the two ways of man one is always to hell, there is but one heaven, where rebels never go, of the higher powers of but one God, rebels are below.

Impartial Columbia knows no minor authority; states against the union of states are rebels of ruin to general salvation; partial combined states of the same

general union of common unbounded country, nature's God knows nothing of; a combination of the partial few against the general whole, are foreign strangers to free and general peace at home. As did our revolting fathers united colonies in Congress, with one mind concert general defence, and we not only ward off the invading spoiler, but our union ends our parties at home. The conquest of Canada is the poor man's gain and eternal liberty; it is the tyrant who opposes the poor from gaining their common rights of North America. Washington never said not unite Canada with us, but tried all he could to conquer it; he recommended general union. Undivided strength is never the victim of foreign subjugation, nor of internal commotion of parties. Imperious is our united duty in obedience to the common cause; let the unity of general sentiment pervade united minds; on the altar of general union humbly sacrifice all party predilections. Let our objects of office be the least of our concern; days of peril invite us HUMBLY to hold on our freedom rights, long insulted rights by the ocean's cavilling parliament insulted, jeopardized and almost RUined. In idle pride

divided we are on the brink of ruin, united our salvation is eternal. On bended knees of humble confes

sion, forgive each other's wrong. On the altar of purest affection, each other's foes pray bow and love as brothers. Above all let general union be your never to be forgotten sacred object; let equal justice guide you; Columbia forgives all her enemies, she is their friend; equal right she gives to all; equal turns of office; all sins she forgives; her union is her

peace.
