the power, and the glory, for ever

and ever.

O Almighty God, who hast knit together thine elect in one communion and fellowship, in the mys tical body of thy Son Christ our Lord; grant us grace so to follow thy blessed Saints in all virtuous and godly living, that we may come to those unspeakable joys, which thou hast prepared for them that unfeignedly love thee, through Jesus Christ our Saviour.

O Lord, our heavenly Father, we humbly beseech thee to save and defend the whole Royal Family; and to grant to our gracious Sovereign King GEORGE, a long and happy Reign over us. May the course of this world be so peaceably ordered by thy governance, that thy Church may joyfully serve thee in all godly quiet

ness, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let all those that seek thee, be joyful and glad in thee. And let such as love thy salvation, say alway, The Lord be praised.

O Almighty God, whom truly to know is everlasting life; grant us perfectly to know thy Son Jesus Christ to be the Way, the Truth, and the Life; that, obeying his doctrine, and following his steps, we may stedfastly walk in the way that leadeth to eternal life, through the same thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

"And now, that we are about to lay ourselves down to rest, receive us, O Lord, into thy gracious protection. Refresh us with comfortable sleep and when we awake in the morning, may our first thoughts be directed to thee our merciful Preserver."

H

Almighty God, who hast given us grace at this time, with one accord to make our common supplications unto thee; and dost promise, that when two or three are gathered together in thy Name, thou wilt grant their requests; fulfil now, O Lord, the desires and petitions of thy servants, as may be most expedient for them granting us in this world, knowledge of thy truth; and in the world to come, life everlasting.

May the very God of peace sanctify us wholly. And may our whole spirit, and soul, and body, be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

SATURDAY MORNING.

O LORD God of Israel, who dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth: thou hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in thy sight. Thou searchest all hearts, and understandest all the imaginations of the thoughts. Thou art about our path, and about our bed, and spiest out all our ways. Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of thy Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly love thee, and worthily magnify thy holy Name. The Lord is our light and our sal

vation: whom then shall we fear? The Lord is the strength of our life: of whom then shall we be afraid? The Lord is our strength and our shield: our hearts trusted in him, and we are helped: therefore our hearts greatly rejoice, and with our song will we praise him.

O most mighty God, and merciful Father, who hast compassion upon all men, and hatest nothing that thou hast made; who wouldest not the death of a sinner, but that he should rather turn from his sin, and be saved; mercifully forgive us our trespasses: receive and comfort us, who are grieved and wearied with the burden of our sins. Thy property is always to have mercy to thee only it appertaineth to forgive sins. Spare us, therefore, good Lord, spare thy people, whom thou hast redeemed.
