Finally, we commend to thy fatherly goodness, all those who are any ways afflicted or distressed, in mind, body, or estate; that it may please thee to comfort and relieve them, according to their several necessities; giving them patience under their sufferings, and a happy issue out of all their afflictions: And this we beg for Jesus Christ his sake.

provement with which we have been favoured. But above all, we acknowledge, with thankful adoration, thine inestimable love, in sending thy Son Jesus Christ into the world, to die for our sins, and to rise again for our justification." Praise the Lord, O our souls, and all that is within us, praise his holy Name. Praise the Lord, O our souls, and forget not all his benefits; who forgiveth all our sin and healeth all our infirmities, who saveth our lives from destruction, and crowneth us with mercy and loving-kindness.

FRIDAY MORNING.

ETERNAL God and our gracious Preserver, we humbly present ourselves before thy Majesty, acknowledging thy power and goodness in protecting us during the past night, and refreshing our bodies with comfortable repose. We laid us down and slept; for thou, O Lord, didst sustain us. We will always give thanks unto thee: thy praise shall ever be in our mouths.

Almighty and most merciful Father, we have erred and strayed from thy ways like lost sheep. We have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts. We have

offended against thy holy laws. We have left undone those things which we ought to have done: And we have done those things which we ought not to have done: And there is no health in us. But thou, O Lord, have mercy upon us, miserable offenders. Spare thou them, O God, which confess their faults. Restore thou them that are penitent; according to thy promises declared unto mankind in Christ Jesu our Lord. And grant, O most merciful Father, for his sake, that we may hereafter live a godly, righteous, and sober life, to the glory of thy holy Name.

Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us, this day, our daily bread; and forgive us our
