sorrow, need, sickness, or any other adversity. And we also bless thy holy Name, for all thy servants departed this life in thy faith and fear; beseeching thee to give us grace, so to follow their good examples, that with them, we may be partakers of thy heavenly kingdom. Grant this, O Father, for Jesus Christ's sake, our only Mediator and Advocate.

Almighty God, who hast promised to hear the petitions of them that ask in thy Son's Name, we beseech thee mercifully to incline thine ears to us that have made now our prayers and supplications unto thee; and grant that those things which we have faithfully asked, according to thy will, may effectually be obtained, to the relief of our necessity, and to the setting forth of thy glory, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Now unto him that is able to do exceding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us; unto him be glory in the Church by Christ Jesus, throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

WEDNESDAY MORNING.

O GOD, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort, hearken,' we beseech thee, to the supplications of thy people. Hear thou in heaven thy dwelling-place, and when thou hearest, forgive our manifold transgressions. Thou art full of compassion and mercy, long-suffering and of great goodness. O thou Preserver of men, our strength and our fortress, and our refuge in the day of affliction, leave us not, neither forsake us; but incline our hearts unto thee, to walk in all the ways which thou hast commanded us. And because through the weakness of our mortal nature, we can do no good thing without thee, grant us the help of thy grace, that in keeping thy commandments we may please thee, both in will and deed, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

O Almighty and most merciful God, of thy bountiful goodness, keep us, we beseech thee, from all things hurt us; that we, being

that may

ready both in body and soul, may cheerfully accomplish those things which thou wouldest have done, through Jesus Christ our only Mediator and Advocate.

Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us, this day, our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive them that trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil : For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and

ever.

Most gracious God, we humbly beseech thee to protect and defend
