May it please thee to succour, help, and comfort all that are in danger, necessity, and tribulation. May it please thee to preserve all that travel, by land or by water; all women labouring of child; all sick persons and young children; and to shew thy pity upon all prisoners and captives. May it please thee to defend and provide for the fatherless children and widows; and all that are desolate and oppressed. May it please thee to have mercy upon all men. May it please thee to forgive our enemies, persecutors, and slanderers, and to turn their hearts. May it please thee to give and preserve to our use, the kindly fruits of the earth, so as in due time we may enjoy them. We beseech thee to hear us, good Lord. O God, whose blessed Son was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil, and make us the sons of God, and heirs of eternal life; grant us, we beseech thee, that having this hope, we may purify ourselves, even as he is pure; that when he shall appear again with power and great glory, we may be made like unto him in his eternal and glorious kingdom; where with thee, O Father, and thee, O Holy Ghost, he liveth and reigneth ever, one God, world without end. O Lord, our heavenly Father, high and mighty, King of kings, Lord of lords, the only Ruler of princes, who dost from thy throne behold all the dwellers upon earth; most heartily we beseech thee, with thy favour to behold our most gracious Sovereign Lord, King GEORGE; and so replenish him with the grace of thy Holy Spirit, that he may alway incline to thy will, and walk in thy way. Endue him plenteously with heavenly gifts; grant him in health and wealth long to live; strengthen him, that he may vanquish and overcome all his enemies; and finally, after this life, he may attain everlasting joy and felicity, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
