7 LORD of Glory, throned on high,
Lowly at Thy feet we lie;
Hear the humble Litany,

We, adoring, offer Thee.

Hear us, help, and save.

Amen.

135 LITANY FOR MISSIONS.

I HEAVENLY FATHER, let Thy light
Break upon our blinded sight,
Chase away the shades of night,

We beseech Thee, hear us.

2 To the nations gone astray,
Thine eternal love display,

Send Thy truth, direct Thy way,
We beseech Thee, hear us.

3 Sow the seed, Thy Word revealed
In the earth's wide harvest field,
That the increase it may yield,

We beseech Thee, hear us.

4 JESUS, who didst suffer pain, To release from error's chain Man's lost Paradise to gain,

JESUS, SAVIOUR, hear us.

5 Let Thy ministers proclaim
Far and wide Thy saving Name,
With Thy love all hearts inflame,

JESUS, SAVIOUR, hear us.

6 Seek for those who careless roam,
Bring the wanderers safely home,
May Thy glorious kingdom come,
JESUS, SAVIOUR, hear us.

7 Blessed Spirit, Heavenly LORD, Speak with power the saving Word, How the lost may be restored,

Blessed Spirit, hear us.

8 Come and breathe new life within,
Rescue souls from death and sin,
Teach the careless Heaven to win,
Blessed Spirit, hear us.

9 FATHER, SON, and HOLY GHOST,
Loving those who need Thee most,
Raise the fallen, save the lost,

We beseech Thee, hear us.

Amen.

Carols.

I SHEPHERDS, watching o'er your flocks,

As the darkness steals around,

Hark! what melody divine

Floods the sky with wondrous sound.
Gloria in excelsis DEO.

2 Lift your wondering eyes to Heaven,
Choirs of Angels gathered there
In the solemn midnight hour
Break the stillness of the air.

Gloria in excelsis DEO.

3 Stay not on the bleak hill side,
Hasten, shepherds, to obey;
To adore yon infant Child
Angels beckon you away.

Gloria in excelsis DEO.

4 Where the ox and ass are stalled.
There a Babe in swaddling bands,
You to greet and you to bless
Lifts His tiny Infant Hands.
Gloria in excelsis DEO.

5 Kneel down, shepherds, bow your heads,
Deep the mystery of Love;

He is GOD and He is man,

Here on earth-in Heaven above.
Gloria in excelsis DEO.

6 Mary, Joseph, shepherds too,
Join the Angel choir on high,
Make Heaven's highest arches ring
Through the deep dark midnight sky.
Gloria in excelsis DEO.

I

A

CHILD this day is born,
A Child of high renown;
Most worthy of a sceptre,
A sceptre and a crown.
Chorus.

Glad tidings to all men,

Amen.

Glad tidings sing we may,
Because the King of Kings

Was born on Christmas Day.

2 These tidings Shepherds heard
Whilst watching o'er their fold,
'Twas by an Angel unto them
That night revealed and told
Glad tidings, &c.

3 Then was there with the Angel
A glorious regiment
Of Heavenly-bright soldiers,
All from the highest seat.
Glad tidings, &c.

4 They praised the LORD our GOD,
And our celestial King :
"All glory in the highest be,"
This Heavenly Host do sing.
Glad tidings, &c.

5 All Glory be to GOD,

That sitteth still on high,

With praises and with triumph great,

And joyful melody.

Glad tidings, &c. Amen.

I CAROL, carol, Christians,
Carol joyfully;

Carol for the coming

Of CHRIST'S nativity,

And pray a gladsome Christmas,
For all good Christian men ;
Carol, carol, Christians,

For Christmas come again.

Chorus.

Carol, carol, Christians,
Carol joyfully;
Carol for the coming
Of CHRIST'S nativity.

2 Go ye to the forest,

Where the myrtles grow,
Where the pine and laurel
Bend beneath the snow;
Gather them for JESUS,

Wreathe them for His shrine ;
Make His temple glorious

With the box and pine.

Carol, carol, Christians, &c.

3 Wreathe your Christmas garland, Where to CHRIST we pray;

It shall smell like carmel

On our festal day;
Libanus and Sharon
Shall not greener be,
Than our holy chancel

On CHRIST'S nativity.

Carol, carol, Christians, &c.

4 Carol, carol, Christians,

Like the Magi now,

Ye must lade your caskets
With a grateful vow ;
