THE AMERICAN ANTHROPOLOGIST includes, but is not confined to, the Transactions of the Anthropological Society of Washington, and aims to be a medium of communication between students in all branches of anthropologic science. Its editors earnestly invite the co-operation, both as subscribers and contributors, of all who are interested in Anthropology. The contributors alone, not the Editors, or the Society, are responsible for the views they express.

THE AMERICAN ANTHROPOLOGIST appears in January, April, July, and October, and the subscription is $3.00 a year, or $1.00 a number. To Honorary and Corresponding Members the price is $2.00 a year.

All communications to the journal and all correspondence, should be addressed to Mr. H. W. HENSHAW, Hooe Building, Washington, D. C.
