6 Now the full glories of the Lamb

Adorn the heav'nly plains, Bright seraphs learn Immanuel's name, And try their choicest strains. 70 may I bear some humble part

In that immortal song: Wonder and joy shall tune my heart, And love command my tongue.

-Ps. lxxi. 14.

PRAISE ye the Lord, raise high
your cheerful voices;

His mercies are a boundless store-
O praise ye the Lord!

He will our every need supply;
He is our pathway, ever nigh;
His ear is open to our cry-

O praise ye the Lord!

2 O praise ye the Lord, for it is good to praise Him;

Lift up your heart, from sin departO praise ye the Lord!

For lo descending from above, Came Jesus with redeeming love, His friendship for our race to proveO praise ye the Lord!

30 praise ye the Lord, 'tis heaven's sweet employment:

The angels join their songs divine
In praising the Lord!

And we who here on earth remain,
Must flee from sin and endless pain,
If we would learn the heavenly strain-
O praise ye the Lord!

4 O praise ye the Lord, and may His Spirit aid us,

With sweet delight to praise arightO praise ye the Lord!

And may we all for Jesus' sake

The downward path of sin forsake,
And Him for our example take-
O praise ye the Lord!

2 How great Hts power is,none can tell,
Nor think how large His grace;
Not men below, nor saints that dwell
On high before His face.

3 Not angels that stand round the Lord
Can search His secret will:
But they perform His heavenly word,
And sing His praises still.

4 Then let me join this holy train,
And my first off'rings bring:
Th' eternal God will not disdain,
To hear an infant sing.

5 My heart resolves, my tongue obeys, And angels shall rejoice

To hear their mighty Maker's praise
Sound from a fecble voice.

ye -Rev. xix. 5.

SONGS of praise the angels fang, Heaven with hallelujahs rang, When Jehovah's work begun ; When He spake, and it was done. 2 Songs of praise awoke the morn When the Prince of Peace was born; Songs of praise arose when He Captive led captivity.

3 Heaven and earth must pass away; Songs of praise shall crown that day; God will make new heavens and earth; Songs of praise shall hail their birth. 4 Saints below, with heart and voice, Still in songs of praise rejoice; Learning here, by faith and love, Songs of praise to sing above. 5 Borne upon their latest breath, Songs of praise shall conquer death; Then, amidst eternal joy,

Songs of praise their powers employ. JAMES MONTGOMERY.

"Who would not fear Thee, O King of
nations?"-Jer. x. 7.

MY God, how wonderful Thou art!
Thy majesty how bright!
How radiant Thy mercy-seat,
In depths of burning light!

2 How dread are Thine eternal years,
O everlasting Lord!

By prostrate spirits, day and night
Incessantly adored!

3 How glorious, how beautiful,

The sight of Thee must be;

Thine endless wisdom,boundless power,
And awful purity!

4 Oh! how I fear Thee, living God,
With deepest, tenderest fears,
And worship Thee with humble hope
And penitential tears!

5 Yet, may I love Thee too, O Lord, Almighty as Thou art;

For Thou hast stooped to ask of me The love of my poor heart.

6 No earthly father loves like Thee, No mother e'er so mild

Bears and forbears as Thou hast done With me, Thy sinful child.

7 Father of Jesus, God of love,
What rapture will it be,

Prostrate before Thy throne to lie,
And ever gaze on Thee!

"Bless the Lord, O my soul”—– Ps. ciii. 22.

1 PRAISE, my soul, the King of heaven, To His feet thy tribute bring; Ransomed, healed, restored, forgiven, Who like thee His praise should sing? Praise Him! praise Him!

Praise the everlasting King.

2 Praise Him for His grace and favour
To our fathers in distress;
Praise Him still the same as ever,
Slow to chide, and swift to bless;
Praise Him! praise Him!
Glorious in His faithfulness.

3 Father-like, He tends and spares us,
Well our feeble frame He knows;
In His bands He gently bears us,
Rescues us from all our foes;
Praise Him! praise Him!
Widely as His mercy flows.
4 Angels, help us to adore Him;
Ye behold Him face to face;
All His works bow down before Him
Through the boundless realms of
Praise Him! praise Him! [space;
Praise with us the God of grace.

2 Light and love and life are Thine;
Great Creator of all good,

Fill our souls with light divine;
Give us with our daily food
Blessings from Thy heavenly store,
Blessings rich for evermore.

3 Graft within our heart of hearts,
Love undying for Thy name,
Bid us, ere the day departs,
Spread afar our Maker's fame :
Young and old together bless,
Clothe our souls with righteousness.
4 Full of years and full of peace,
May our life on earth be blest:
When our trials here shall cease,
And at last we sink to rest,

-Ps. xxii. 23.

1 ABOVE the clear blue sky,
A In heaven's bright abode,
The angel host on high
Sing praises to their God:
Alleluia!

They love to sing
To God their King,
Alleluia !

2 But God from infant tongues
On earth receiveth praise;
We then our cheerful song
In sweet accord will raise:
Alleluia !

We too will sing
To God our King,
Alleluia !

3 O blessed Lord, Thy truth
To us Thy babes impart.
And teach us in our youth
To know Thee as Thou art.

Alleluia !

Then shall we sing
To God our King,
Alleluia !

4 O may Thy holy word
Spread all the world around;
All then with one accord
Shall lift the joyful sound,
Alleluia !

All then shall sing To God their King, Alleluia!

-Isa. Ixiii. 16.

27" Doubtless Thou art our Father." OUR Father sits on yonder throne,

1

Amidst the hosts above;

He reigns throughout the world alone→
He reigns the God of love.

2 He knew us when we knew Him not,
Was with us though unseen;
His favours came to us unsought,
His love has wondrous been.

3 O let us, while we dwell below,
Obey that Father's voice;
To Him in meek submission bow,
And in His love rejoice:

4 That we may hear Him say, at last,
"Ye blessed children, come;
The days of toil and sin are past,
And heaven is now your home.'

"Young men and maidens; old men and children."-Ps. cxlviii. 12.

HARK, round the God of love
Angels are singing;

Saints at His feet above
Their crowns are flinging:
And may poor children dare
Hope for acceptance there,
Their simple praise and prayer
To His throne bringing?

2 Yes, through adoring throngs
His pity sees us;
'Midst their seraphic songs

Our off'ring pleases:

And Thou who here didst pr ve
To babes so full of love,
Thou art the same above,
Merciful Jesus.

3 Not a poor sparrow falls
But Thou art near it;
When the young raven calls,
Thou, Lord, dost hear it;

Flowers, worms, and insects share
Hourly Thy guardian care;
Wilt Thou bid us despair?
Lord, can we fear it ?

4 Lord, then Thy mercy send
On all before Thee;

Children and children's friend,
Bless, we implore Thee;
Lead us from grace to grace,
On through our earthly race,
Till all before Thy face
Meet to adore Thee.

"Worship God."-Rev. xxii. 9.

WE praise, we worship Thee, O God;

Thy sov'reign power we sound abroad;

All nations bow before Thy throne, And Thee, the great Jehovah, own. 2 Loud hallelujahs to Thy name Angels and seraphim proclaim: By all the powers and thrones in heaven,

Eternal praise to Thee is given.

3 O holy, holy, holy Lord;

Thou God of Hosts, by all adored:

Earth and the heavens are full of Thee, Thy light, Thy power, Thy majesty.

"The God of Abraham." - Gen.
xxxi. 42.

THE God of Abraham praise,
Who reigns enthroned above;
Ancient of everlasting days,

And God of love.

Jehovah, great I AM,

By earth and heaven confessed:
We bow and own the sacred name,
For ever blest.

2 The God of Abraham praise,

At whose supreme command

From earth we rise and seek the joys
At His right hand.

We all on earth forsake,

Its wisdom, fame, and power;
And Him our only portion make,
Our shield and tower.

3 The God of Abraham praise,
Whose all-sufficient grace

Shall guide us through the wilderness
To see His face.

He is our faithful Friend,
He is our gracious God;
And He will save us to the end
Through Jesus' blood.

4 He by Himself hath sworn,
We on His oath depend,

We shall, on eagles' wings upborne,
To heaven ascend:

We shall behold His face,

We shall His power adore,
And sing the wonders of His grace
For evermore.

5 The whole triumphant host

Give thanks to God on high:

Hail, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost!
They ever cry;

Hail, Abraham's God and ours!
We join the heavenly lays,

And celebrate with all our powers

His endless praise.
