APPENDIX. ACT OF SEDERUNT TO AMEND C.A.S., Book L, CHAPTER XIII. (PROCEEDINGS
UNDER THE WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION ACT 1906). [Elinburgh, 6th July 1915.) The Lords of Council and Session, considering that it is advisable to amend in certain respects the provisions enacted by C.A.S., Book L, Chapter XIII., regulating proceedings under the Workmen's Compensation Act 1906, Do hereby, under and by virtue of the powers conferred by said statute, Enact and Declare that the following amendments are hereby made in said C A.S., Book L, Chapter XIII., viz. :1. To subsection («) of section 17 there shall be added the provision, " The note of the Sheriff
, if any, explanatory of the grounds of his award shall be appended to the case. 2. The figures "1905” occurring in the second line of section 1 are hereby
deleted and the figures “1906” are substituted therefor. 3. The word “of” occurring before the words “the sheriff-clerk” in the sixth
line of section 12 is hereby deleted, and the word “or” is substituted
therefor. 4. The word "principal” occurring before the words "clerk of the Division” in
the eleventh line of subsection (e) of section 17 is hereby deleted. And the Lords Appoint this Act to be entered in the Books of Sederunt and to be printed and published in common form.

ACT OF SEDERUNT TO PROVIDE REMUNERATION FOR CERTAIN CLERKS OF
JUSTICE OF PEACE SMALL DEBT COURTS IN PROCEEDINGS UNDER THE COURTS (EMERGENCY POWERS) ACT 1914 (4 & 5 Geo. V. c. 78), AND THE RELATIVE ACT OF SEDERUNT, DATED 28TH SEPTEMBER 1914. [Ellinburgh, 14th July
1915.] The Lords of Council and Session, considering that Section VIII. of the Act of Sederunt regulating proceedings under the Courts (Emergency Powers) Act 1914 (4 & 5 Geo. V. c. 78), dated 28th September 1914, provides that “No Court fees shall be payable in any proceedings under the Act or under this Act of Sederunt," and that the cost of the administration in proceedings in Justice of Peace Small Debt Courts is at present met by fees regulated by 6 Geo. IV. c. 48, and C.A.S., Book M., Chapter V.; and Further, considering that certain expenses have been and will be incurred by Clerks of the Peace in administering the said Courts (Emergency Powers) Act and relative Act of Sederunt for which no provision has been made, and that it is reasonable to make provision thereon, Do therefore Enact and Declare as follows, viz. :
I. County Councils and Town Councils of counties of cities shall pay to Clerks of the Peace remuneration by fees only(a) In respect of each application under the Courts (Emergency Powers) Act 1914,
and relative Act of Sederunt, a fee of 6d. for each £ or part of a £ calculated on the amount of the subject matter of such application, but so that the maximum fee shall not exceed 2s., said fee to apply only to such applications where power is or has been craved to do diligence on a decree already
granted. (6) In respect of each such application made at the time of granting the decree to
which the application refers, a fee of 6d. II. The said Act of Sederunt of 28th September 1914 is amended as if the above provision had been inserted therein, and this Act of Sederunt shall have effect as from and after the said 28th September 1914.
And the Lords Appoint this Act to be entered in the Books of Sederunt and to be printed and published in common form.
