After several odd physical occurrences, Patricia went to her Ear, Nose and Throat doctor thinking she probably had a simple ear infection. Then her life was changed in minutes when the doctor informed her that she had life threatening condition going on in her head, and he promptly turned her over to a neurosurgeon. After extensive tests, she was told she had a congenital defect called a Dural Arteriovenous Malformation. Then she was told she would have to have major brain surgery Follow her through the shock, trauma and extended recovery, along with all the worries over family members and a friend who also were all seriously ill. And how, through all of the experiences, she continued to trust in God, who stayed with her all the way. Patricia lives in Enid, Oklahoma with her husband of fifty-three years, and their two cats, Kriket and Musette. She works at Northwestern Oklahoma University where she is a Facilitator, (professor's assistant), She has taught Gymnastics and Physical Education and the Seventh and Eighth grades. She is a voracious reader, loves to write, sew, and cook. She is very active in church activities, where all the children and adults call her and her husband "Nana Pat and Poppa Dell", since they are the eldest in their church family. Some of her poetry, (which she has been writing since the age of six), has been published, but this is her first book.
