2 The few that truly call Thee LORD, And wait Thy sanétifying Word,"

And Thee, their utmost SAVIOUR OWN, Unite, and perfect them in one.

3 In them let all mankind behold
How Christians liv'd in days of old;
Mighty their envious foes to move,
A proverb of reproach-and love.

4 O might my lot be cast with these,
The least of JESU's witnesses!

O that my LORD would count me meet
To wash his dear disciples' feet!

5 LORD, if I now Thy drawings feel,
And ask according to Thy will,
Confirm the pray'r, the seal impart,
And speak the answer to my heart.

Hymn.

Church meeting.

AND are we yet alive,

And see each other's face?
Glory and praise to JESUS give,
For His redeeming grace!

What troubles have we seen!
What conflicts have we past!

Fightings without, and fears within,
Since we assembled last.

But out of all the LORD

Hath brought us by His love:
And still He doth His help afford,
And hides our life above.

Then let us make our boast
Of His redeeming pow'r,

Which saves us to the uttermost,
That we may sin no more:

Let us take up the cross,

Till we the crown obtain;

And gladly reckon all things loss,
So we may JESUS gain.

Hymn.

Church meeting.

JESU, we look to Thee,

Thy promis'd presence claim;
Thou in the midst of us shalt be,
Assembled in Thy Name.

Thy Name salvation is,

Which here we come to prove;

Thy Name is life, and health, and peace,

And everlasting love.

Not in the name of pride

Or selfishness we meet;

From Nature's paths we turn aside,

And worldly thoughts forget.

We meet the grace to take,

Which Thou hast freely giv'n;

We meet on earth for Thy dear sake,
That we may meet in heav'n.

5 Present we know Thou art;
But, O, Thyself reveal!
Now, LORD, let ev'ry bounding heart
The mighty comfort feel!

6 O may Thy quick'ning voice
The death of sin remove!
And bid our inmost souls rejoice,
In hope of perfect love!

Hymn.

Church meeting.

+ SEE, JESUS, Thy disciples see,
The promis'd blessing give!
Met in Thy Name, we look to Thee,
Expecting to receive.

2 Thee we expect, our faithful LORD,
Who in Thy Name are join'd:
We wait according to Thy Word,
Thee in the midst to find.

3 With us Thou art assembled here;
But, O, Thyself reveal!
SON of the living GOD, appear!
Let us Thy presence feel.

4 Whom now we seek, O may we meet! JESUS, the crucified!

Show us Thy bleeding hands and feet,
Thou who for us hast died.

5 Cause us the record to receive!
Speak, and the tokens show,
"O be not faithless, but believe
"In Me, who died for you!"

Hymn.

Church rejoicing.

SAVIOUR of sinful men,
Thy goodness we proclaim,
Which brings us here to meet again,
And triumph in Thy Name:

Thy mighty Name hath been
Our safeguard and our tow'r;

Hath sav'd us from the world and sin,
And all th' accuser's pow'r.

But what a mighty change

Shall JESU's suff'rers know!

While o'er the happy plains they range,
Incapable of woe!

4 No ill-requited love

Shall there our spirits wound:

No base ingratitude above;

No sin in heay'n is found.

5 No slightest touch of pain, Nor sorrow's least alloy,

6

Can violate our rest, or stain

Our purity of joy.

In that eternal day.

No clouds nor tempests rise:

There gushing tears are wip'd away
For ever from our eyes.

Hymn.

Church rejoicing.

1 COME, all whoe'er have set

Your faces Sion-ward,

In JESUS let us meet,

And praise our common LORD;
In JESUS let us still go on,
Till all appear before His throne,

2 Nearer and nearer still

We to our country come;
To that celestial hill,

The weary pilgrim's home;
The new Jerusalem above,
The seat of everlasting love."

3 The ransom'd sons of GOD,
All earthly things we scorn;
And to our high abode

With songs of praise return:

From strength to strength we still proceed,

With crowns of joy upon our head.

4 The peace and joy of faith

Each moment may we feel!
Redeem'd from sin and wrath,
From earth, and death, and hell,
We to our FATHER's house repair,
To meet our elder BROTHER there.

5 Our BROTHER, SAVIOUR, HEAD,
Our all in all is He;

And in His steps who tread,

We soon His face shall see;

Shall see Him with our glorious friends,
And then in heaven our journey ends.
