ered to iffue their warrant to the auditor of the receipt of the ex chequer to pay, out of any money remaining there of the faid aid or fupplies, remaining for the fervice of the year in which fuck intereft and instalment fhall become due, the respective fum and fums to which the proprietors of each and every fuch order fo fifty pounds, and the equi multiples of fifty pounds, made out b virtue of this act, fhall be intitled, by inftalments of fix pound and five fhillings per centum, together with the half-years interef due upon fuch fum as fhall be remaining unpaid and undischarge on each half-yearly day of payment, when fuch proportional fun fhall be fo directed to be paid off.

II. And be it further enacted, That the standing orders which shall be made out at the exchequer in pursuance and under the authority of this act, fhall be affignable on the back of fuch orders on the affignment being attefted by two or more credible wit neffes, which affignment fhall intitle the affignee, his executors adminiftrators, and affigns, to the benefit attending fuch order o orders, and to the interest which shall become due and payable in refpect of the fame.

III. And be it enacted, That the commiffioners of the treasury now being, or any three or more of them, or the high treasure for the time being, fhall be, and they are hereby authorised, im. powered, and required, out of any of the aids or fupplies that fhal be granted for the fervice of the year one thousand seven hundred and ninety, to direct the payment at the receipt of the exchequer of the principal fums contained in all and every the feveral and refpective orders made forth for any fum or fums of money lefs thar fifty pounds, on the tenth day of October one thousand seven hundred and ninety, together with the intereft thereon, computed from the faid fifth day of July one thousand seven hundred and eighty-eight, to the faid tenth day of October one thoufand fever hundred and ninety.

IV. And be it further enacted by the authority aforefaid, That ers to deliver in order to prevent fuch orders from being fraudulently obtained from the auditor of the exchequer, or his officers, by any other of the fums to perfon or perfons than those who fhall be duly entitled to the fame, which they the faid refpective commiffioners appointed for ascertaining the are intitled, to loffes afore mentioned, fhall make forth and deliver to each and be tranfmit

every perfon named in the faid books, or to his or her lawful attreafury, &c. torney, to be tranfmitted by them to the commiffioners of his Majefty's treasury, a certificate containing the name and addition of fuch claimant, and the fum to which he or she shall be intitled; which certificate fhall be carried to the proper officer in the office of the faid auditor of the exchequer, who, upon receipt thereof, thall deliver the order made out for the benefit of fuch perfon, and fhall take a receipt on the back of fuch certificate as a difcharge for the faid order.

VII. Provided always, and be it enacted by the authority aforefaid, That in cafe any of the faid orders made forth by virtue of Treasury may this aft fhall be filled up by writing or indorsements thereon, or direct new or by any accident be defaced, it fhall and may be lawful for the made out in commiffioners of the treasury, or any three or more of them, or lieu of fuch as the high treafurer for the time being, and he and they are hereby may be deauthorifed and impowered by his or their direction, from time to faced, &c, time, to caufe new orders to be made forth at the receipt of the exchequer, in lieu of fuch orders which fhall be fo filled up or defaced, which orders fo filled up or defaced fhall be cancelled at the receipt of the exchequer, and kept there on a file or files for that purpofe; and fuch orders fo to be made forth in lieu thereof fhall, in all refpects, be fubject to the fame rules, methods, and contiDuance, and have and be intitled to the fame and like benefits and advantages, and bear the fame numbers, dates, and principal fums, as was or were borne by fuch order or orders fo cancelled.

IX. And be it enacted by the authority aforefaid, That in ca fufficient aids or fupplies fhall not be granted before the fifth da of April one thoufand feven hundred and ninety-one, or befor the fifth day of April in each subsequent year, before the whole the faid orders, herein directed to be made forth, are fatisfied an paid off with intereft for the fame, then fuch fum as fhould ought to be satisfied and paid pursuant to this act, in part of th principal fum of fuch orders, together with the intereft that fha then have become due, fhall be charged upon fuch monies as, any time after the faid fifth day of April in each year, shall be remain in the exchequer of the confolidated fund, (except fuc monies of the faid confolidated fund as are appropriated to an ufe or uses by any act or acts of parliament in that behalf); an fuch monies of the faid confolidated fund fhall and may be iffue and applied, as foon as the fame can be regularly ftated and a certained, for and towards paying off fuch inftalment or infta ments, and the intereft due and payable on the feveral orders, ac cording to the directions of this act; any act or acts of parlia ment, or any claufe or claufes in any act or acts of parliament, t the contrary notwithstanding.

XI. And it is hereby enacted by the authority aforefaid, Tha if any perfon or perfons fhall forge or counterfeit any orde which fhall have been made forth by virtue of this act, before th same shall have been paid off and cancelled, or any order to b renewed or made forth in pursuance of this act, or any indorfe ment or writing thereupon or therein, or tender in payment an fuch forged or counterfeit order, with intent to defraud his Ma jefty, his heirs and fucceffors, or the perfon or perfons to be ap pointed to pay off the fame, or to pay any intereft thereupon, o any of them, then every fuch perfon or perfons fo offending, be ing thereof lawfully convicted, fhall be adjudged a felon, and fha fuffer death as in cafes of felony, without benefit of clergy.

An act to explain and amend an act, paffed in the twentieth year o the reign of his prefent Majesty, touching the election for knights the fhire to ferve in parliament for that part of Great Britai called England,

WHEREAS an act was passed in the twentieth year of th reign of his prefent Majefty, intituled, An act to remov certain dificulties relative to voters at county elections, whereb it is, among other things, enacted, That, from and after the first day January one thousand feven hundred and eighty-one, no person sha
