AN ACT To amend an act passed March 14th, 1831, entitled "An act pointing out the mode of levying taxes." Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Ohio, That all tracts of land not exceeding two acres, and Land and all meeting houses standing on said tracts of land, the title of meeting houwhich, is vested in any trustee or trustees, body corporate or ses, exempt from taxation. politic, for the use of, and in trust for, any religious society, and occupied by such society for public worship; and all tracts of Burying grounds exland set apart and used as burying grounds, shall be exempt empt from taxation. Sec. 2. That so much of the second section of the act to which this is an amendment, as relates to the exemption from Act repealed taxation, of all tracts of land not exceeding ten acres, with the improvements thereon, the title of which is vested in any trustee or trustees, body corporate or politic, for the use of, and in trust for, any religious society, and all tracts of land used as burying grounds, be, and the same is hereby repealed. Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Ohio, That it is hereby declared to be the meaning and intent of the act, providing for the partition of real estate, passed 17th February, 1831, that in all cases where a sale of lands or When real estenements may have been made by virtue of and proceeding tate is sold, for the partition of real estate, under the present or any for- court may ormer laws on that subject, and a conveyance of the lands so execute and sold, shall not have been made by the officer making such sale, deliver deed. der Sheriff to the court before which such proceeding may have been had, may on motion, order the sheriff of the county, or any officer who may be then executing the duties of sheriff, to execute and deliver to the purchaser, a deed for the lands so sold, the court being first satisfied that such sale was regularly made, and that the purchase money has been fully paid or secured. Sec. 2. That the act to amend the act, entitled "An act for the partition of real estate," passed the seventh day of March, eighteen hundred and thirty five, be, and the same is hereby repealed. WM.
