About the author (2006)

Thena Smith has written little verses since she was in grade school and the teacher assigned the class the task of writing a Christmas poem. She enjoyed it so much that she wrote poems for a number of her classmates to use as well. She hasn't stopped writing them since. Just before her retirement from government work she met Bluegrass Publisher, Linda LaTourelle online and became a published author of her first book, Where's Thena? I Need a Poem About... This title was appropriate because that is usually what online friends posted to her on various scrapbooking websites. Thena added six more books to her catalog including Whispers, A Taste of Paste, Board Smartz, Military Moments,C is for Christmas, and Letters to Heaven. She also has a created a number of books with Blurb. She is well known in the scrapbooking community after writing for PCCrafter for nine years, Scrapbook News and Review online magazine for two years and attending a number of CKU's (Creating Keepsakes University), CHA (Craft and Hobby Association and various expos. Thena has also been active in various online scrapbooking sites as well as Facebook.
