FAMILY WORSHIP.

The World was made in SEVEN days
For SEVEN thousand years—(1)
A "Stage," where Man the "Actor" plays
SEV'N Scenes: then disappears! (2)
Each scene-ten anniversaries,

Or seventy in all-(3)
Preparing the Felicities

Of a Life Eternal. (4)
Misspended-man frustrates his end,
Foregoes a happy lot;

Foe to himself instead of friend,

'T' were better he were not! (5)

(1). "Beloved! be not ignorant of this one thing--that one day is, with the Lord, as a thousand years; and a thousand years as one day."2 PET. III. 8.

(2). "And He shall confirm the Covenant with many for ONE WEEK; and in the midst of the week" (A.M. 4000) "He shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease- "And MESSIAH shall be cut off, but not for Himself and the people of the prince that shall come, shall destroy the City and the Sanctuary--" (DANIEL ix. 26-27).

(3). "The Days of our Age are three-score years and ten: and, if by reason of strength they be four-score years, yet is their strength but labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away."--Psalm xc. 10.

And they that be Wise shall shine as the Brightness of the Firmament; and they that turn many to Righteousness-as the Stars for ever and ever."-DANIEL xii. 2, 3.

Kindly-fondly-greet each other!
Wedded-Widow'd-Young and Old
Of each Patriarchal fold,
In your own belov'd abode
Gather round the Throne of God!
Ope the Bible-read the word,
Converse freely with the Lord:
Blessings more than Earth can give
From on High you may receive-
Grace and Mercy-Hope and Faith
Now, and at the Hour of Death!
Think not that another place
Offers richer Boons of Grace-
Or that any Sect or Priest
Is a requisite to Christ-
Wheresoever Two or Three
Worship in sincerity,

Seek to know what Angels know-
Strive to do as Angels do-
Study that sublimest Art,

The Conversion of the Heart-
There will JESUS-the True Lover
Of our souls-in SPIRIT hover,
There vouchsafe to be a Guest-
And in such Home make his rest:
Though that Home were on the Deep
There would He the Vigil keep :
Nay, if in the Ship He sleep-
Harmless would the wild winds sweep.
He can Save, and He can Feed
All who know they are in need:
He can shed abroad his Grace,
And impart His Righteousness.
Young in Years, or Old in Crime,
Now- and only Now's the Time.
Come, together kneel and Pray-
Life is vanishing away-

Heaven may be on Earth to-day-
ABBA-FATHER"-Let us say!
