I was afraid to offer it fooner, left I might have difhonoured your name by prefixing it to a work unworthy of your patronage. It fhall always be my study fo to act as not to make you afhamed of the partiality you have shown me. This is the only return in my power to make for all your kindness; and, if I can fully fucceed in this attempt, I am well affured it will be to you the most acceptable return I could give.
