To the Lamb our Ruler be! 1 Wake the song, O Zion's daughter,

Jesus Christ is our Redeemer, Bid the glad Hosannas ring

Thee, the company of angels Our Redeemer and our King!

Praise and magnify on high, Glory be to Him who cometh

While with longing expectation In the name of Israel's Lord ;

All Thy saints Hosanna cry:
Zion's children bid Thee welcome,

Hosanna in the highest !
King of kings, Incarnate Word !
Hosanna in the highest !

DOXOLOGY. 2 As the children of the Hebrews

PRAISE the God of our salvation; With their palms before Thee went, Praise the Father's boundless love; So our praise, and prayers, and anthems, Praise the Lamb, our expiation; Unto Thee we now present:

Praise the Spirit from above; Thou wast hastening to Thy passion Author of the new creation,

When they woke the song of praise, Him by whom our spirits live; Thou art coming in Thy glory

Undivided adoration
While our melody we raise :

To the One Jehovah give:
Hosanna in the highest !

Hosanna in the highest !

i Blood is the price of heaven;

All sin that price exceeds:
Oh, come to be forgiven;

He bleeds, my Saviour bleeds !
2 Under the olive boughs,

Falling like ruby beads,
The blood drops from His brows;

He bleeds, my Saviour bleeds !
3 While the fierce scourges fall

The precious blood still pleads;
In front of Pilate's hall

He bleeds, my Saviour bleeds !
4 Beneath the thorny crown

The crimson fountain speeds ;
See how it trickles down;

He bleeds, my Saviour bleeds !
5 Bearing the fatal wood,

His band of saints He leads,
Marking the way with blood;

He bleeds, my Saviour bleeds !
6 On Calvary His shame

With blood still intercedes;
His open wounds proclaim

He bleeds, my Saviour bleeds!
7 He hangs upon the tree,

Hangs there for my misdeeds ;
He sheds His blood for me ;

He bleeds, my Saviour bleeds !
8 ( sweet, () precious blood !

What love, what love it breeds!
Ransom, Reward, and Food ;

He bleeds, my Saviour bleeds !

And let the mourning sinner live! The Man of Grief condemned for you,

The Lord will hear us in His name, The Lamb of God for sinners slain,

1 Oh come and mourn with me awhile ; His sacred limbs! exposed and bare,

Oh come ye to the Saviour's side ; Or only covered with His blood.

Oh come, together let us mourn ;

Jesus, our Lord, is crucified. 3 Behold His temples crowned with thorn, His bleeding hands extended wide,

2. Have we no tears to shed for Him, His streaming feet transfixed and tórn. While soldiers scoff and Jews deride?

The fountain gushing from His side! | Ah, look how patiently He hangs ! 4 O Thou dear suffering Son of God,

Jesus, our Lord, is crucified. How doth Thy heart to sinners move ! 3 How fast His hands and feet are nailed ! Sprinkle on us Thy precious blood,

His throat with parching thirst is dried ; And melt us with Thy dying love!
