124 | 126 1 0 Thou, who by a star didst guide 1 To us a Child of hope is born, The wise men on their way, To us a Son is given ; Until it came and stood beside Him shall the tribes of earth obey, The place where Jesus lay ; Him all the hosts of heaven. 2 Although by stars Thou dost not lead 2 His name shall be the Prince of Peace, Thy servants now below, For evermore adored ; The great and mighty Lord ! 3 As yet we know Thee but in part : 3 His power, increasing, still shall spread; But still we trust Thy word, His reign no end shall know; That blesséd are the pure in heart, Justice shall guard His throne above, For they shall see the Lord.
