O gratefully sing His power and His love ;
Pavilioned in splendor and girded with praise.
Whose robe is the light, whose canopy space;
And dark is His path on the wings of the storm.
Almighty, Thy power hath founded of old,
And round it hath cast, like a mantle, the sea.
It breathes in the air, it shines in the light,
And sweetly distils in the dew and the rain.
In Thee do we trust, nor find Thee to fail :
Our Maker, Defender, Redeemer, and Friend!
While angels delight to hymn Thee above,
The Lord's Prayer.
May Thy kingdom holy on earth be the same:
It is from Thy bounty that all must be fed.
That humble compassion which pardons each foe;
3 Thousands, tens of thousands, stand, 6 Hallelujah! Lord, to Thee, Spirits blest, before the throne,
Father, Son, and Holy Ghost; Speeding thence at Thy command, Godhead One, and Persons Three;
And when Thy commands are done, Join with us the heavenly host, Singing everlastingly,
Singing everlastingly, To the Blessed Trinity.
To the Blessed Trinity.
2 Praise the Lord-for He hath spoken;
Worlds His mighty voice obeyed ; Laws which never shall be broken,
For their guidance He hath made. 3 Praise the Lord—for He is glorious ;
Never shall His promise fail ;
Sin and death shall not prevail. 4 Praise the God of our salvation ;
Hosts on high, His power proclaim ; Heaven and earth, and all creation,
Laud and magnify His Name!
Glory be to God the Son!
Washed us from each spot and stain ; Glory be to Him who bought us, Made us kings with Him to reign:
Glory, Glory, To the Lamb that once was slain ! 3 Glory to the King of angels !
Glory to the Church's King!
Thus the choir of angels sings;
Psalm 148. i Praise the Lord ! ye heavens, adore
Praise Him, all ye stars of light !
Thou, our Father, and our Lord ;
Ever be Thy name adored ! 2 Thine, O Lord, are power and greatness;
Glory, victory, are Thine own;
Over all Thy boundless throne. 3 Riches come of Thee and honor ;
Power and might to Thee belong; Thine it is to make us prosper,
Only Thine to make us strong.
Hymns of gratitude we raise;
Ever we address our praise.
4 The whole triumphant host Who reigns enthroned above,
Give thanks to God on high ; Ancient of everlasting days,
“Hail! Father, Son, and Holy Ghost !* And God of Love !
They ever cry: Jehovah ! Great I AM !
Hail ! Abraham's God, and mine! By earth and heaven confest ;
I join the heavenly lays ;
And endless praise !
supreme command And, “Holy, Holy, Holy,” cry,
From earth I rise, and seek the joys “Almighty King!
At His right hand : Who was, and is, the same,
I all on earth forsake, And evermore shall be !"
Its wisdom, fame, and power; Jehovah ! Father ! Great I AM ! And Him my only portion make, We worship Thee !
My shield and tower. 3 Before the Saviour's face
6 He by Himself hath sworn; The ransomed nations bow,
I on His oath depend ; O'erwhelmed at His Almighty grace, I shall, on angel wings upborne, Forever new :
To heaven ascend : He shows His prints of love ;
I shall behold His face,
I shall His power adore,
