The appropriation made by chapter 54, section 1, of the laws of 1981, and chapter 54, section 3, of the laws of 1984, is amended and reappropriated to read as follows:

Alterations and improvements to existing City University facilities to remedy code violations, correct hazards to health and safety, preserve existing facilities or improve energy conservation. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 6279 of the education law, the state shall provide 100 percent of the amounts shown in the schedule below for the cost of projects to be advanced at City University senior colleges, provided, however, that the payment required to the city of New York by the state in section 6279, subdivision (3) of the education law shall be reduced by $6,745,000 (00761803).... .(re. $5,007,000)
