"For expenses of maintenance and operation of the Tax Department, exclusive of the Bureau of Motor Vehicles, including the purchase or exchange of automobiles; refunds of taxes erroneously paid under article 12 of the tax law (tax on transfers of stock and other corporate certificates); refunds of fees erroneously paid for real estate agents' and real estate brokers' and billiard room licenses; for premiums on surety bonds of officials and employees and for expenses of officials and employees in traveling outside of the state, $435,000."
