§ 11. The trustees of the police pension fund may revoke any pension granted, or any part thereof, except in the case of the members of the police force retired after twenty-five years service or retired because of permanent injuries received in the actual performance of duty, said injuries being of such nature as to unfit the member so retired from the performance of manual labor.

§ 12. The moneys, securities and effects of the police pension fund and all pensions and moneys granted and payable from said fund are and shall be exempt from execution and from all process and proceedings to recover the same or to enjoin or stay the payment of the same by or or behalf of any creditor or person having or asserting any claim, debt or liability against any pensioner of said fund.

13. The board of trustees of the police pension fund is hereby authorized to invest or cause to be invested, said pension fund, or any part thereof, in securities designated by law as legal for trust funds and savings banks. All interest, income or dividends which shall be paid or agreed to be paid on account of any such investment, loan or deposit shall belong to and constitute a part of the police pension fund.

§ 14. Sections one hundred and fifty-eight-a, one hundred and fifty-eight-b, one hundred and fifty-eight-c, one hundred and fiftyeight-d, one hundred and fifty-eight-e, one hundred and fiftyeight-f, of chapter five hundred and thirty-eight of the laws of nineteen hundred and fifteen, entitled "An act to revise the charter of the city of Watertown" and the provisions of sections seventy-eight, seventy-nine, eighty, eighty-one, eighty-two and eighty-three of chapter six hundred and sixty of the laws of nineteen hundred and twenty-three, entitled, "An act to revise the charter of the city of Watertown, N. Y.," in so far as they may be inconsistent with the provisions of this local law, are hereby superseded.

§ 15. This local law shall take effect sixty days after its adoption.

LOCAL LAW No. 1

A local law in relation to public hearings on local laws before the common council of the city of White Plains.

Became a law November 3, 1924, with the approval of the Council. Passed by the local legislative body of the city of White Plains.

Be it enacted by the common council of the city of White Plains as follows: Section 1. When a proposed local law shall be in its final form, the common council shall fix a day for a public hearing before it concerning such local law. The city clerk shall cause public notice of the time of such hearing to be published in the official newspaper for two successive days. Such hearing shall be had not earlier than five days after the day of the last publication of such notice. Such notice shall contain the title of such local law and an explanatory statement thereof prepared by the city clerk. § 2. This local law shall take effect immediately.
