૩૦ ને ખલાશીઆઓએ વાંહાંણુ પરથી નાહાશી જવા ચાહું ને પોતે નાલ પરથી લંગર નાંખનાર એ બાઁહીંનાથી દીઆમાઁ ન વા ઊતારો

31 Paul said to the centurion and to the soldiers, Except these abide in the ship, ye cannot be saved.

૩૧ તારે પાઊલે ઝુબેદારને તથા શીપાઈઓને કહું ને એ બાંહીંણ પર ન રહે તો તને ખચી નથી શકતા

32 Then the soldiers cut off the ropes of the boat, and let her fall off.

૩૨ તાહાર, શીપાઇઓએ નવાનાં દોરડાં કાપીનાંખાં ને તેને પડવા દીધો

33 And while the day was coming on, Paul besought them all to take meat, saying, This day is the fourteenth

day that ye have tarried and continued fasting, having

taken nothing.

૩૩ ને દાહડા ઊગતાં શરવેને અન ખાવા શારૂ પાઊલે તેની વીનંતી કરતાં કહ્યું કે આજ ચઊંદ દાહાડા થઆ તને વાઢ શ્વેતાં કંઈ ન ખાવાથી લાંઘણા રહાછા

:

34 Wherefor I pray you to take some meat: for this is for your health for there shall not an hair fall from the head of any of you.

૩૪ એમાટે અંન ખાવા શારૂ હું તમને વીનંતી કરૂંઘઊં કેનકે એ તમારા રખશણને શારૂ છે કાંજે તમારામાંથી કાઇના નાથાના એક નીનાલાનું નુકશાન નહુ થશે

35 And when he had thus spoken, he took break, and gave thanks to God in presence of them all and when he had broken it, he began to eat.

૩૫ ને તેણે એમ કહીને રોટલી લીધી ને શરવેની આગલ દેવની તુતી કીધી તાહારે ભાજીને તે ખાવા લાગો

36 Then were they all of good cheer, and they also took some meat.

૩૬ તાહારે તેશઘલાની ખાતરજને થઇ ને તેઓએ પણ અન લીધું

37 And we were in all in the ship two lundred threescore and sixteen souls.

૩૭ ને વાંહીંણુ પરનાં હુને શરવ બશે છોતર માઁણા હુાં 38 And when they had eaten enough, they lightened the ship, and cast out the wheat into the sea.

૩૮ ને અનથી તપત ખીને વાંહાંણને હલકું ક

આ પર તેઓએ ઘણું દીઓમાં નાં

39 And when it was day, they knew not the land: bnt they discovered a certain creek with a shore, into the which they were minded, if it were possible, to thrust in the ship,

૩૮ ને દાણાડો ઊગા પર તેઓએ તે પરથી આલખી નહીં પણ એક ખાડી દીઠી નૈના કાંઠા બરાબર હુતા ને તે બની શકે તો તે એ વાંહાણ તેનાં ઘાલવાનું ઠરાએવું

40 And when they had taken up the anchors, they committed themselves unto the sea, and loosed the rudder bands, and hoised up the mainsail to the wind, and made toward shore.

૪૦ ને ચારે। ગનથી લંગર ઊપાડીન[Čાઁણદીઓને શવાધીન કીધું ને ઝુકાનના બંધ ઘેાડીને નાહાટા હુડ પવનની ગન ઊપર ખેંચા ને તે બરાબર કૉંઠાની પાશે જવાલાગા *

41 And falling into a place where two seas met, they ran the ship aground; and the forepart stuck fast, and remained unmoveable, but the hinder part was broken with the violence of the waves.

૪૧ ને બે દીઆ નલવાની જંગેનાં પડીને વાાણને ભાએ પર

દોડાએલું ને નાલ ી જઈને અચલ રહી પણ નાનઓના શૅર થી ડબુશો ભા

42 And the soldiers' counsel was to kill the prisoners, lest any of them should swim out, and escape.

૪૨ તાહારે શીપાઇઓનો મનશુખે એંમ હુતો કે બંધીવાનોને નાડીનાંખે રખેં તેઓનાઁથી કાઈ તથી નીકલીને નાણાશી ાએ

43 But the centurion, willing to save Paul, kept them from their purpose, and commanded that they which could swim should cast themselves first into the sea, and get to land:

૪૩ પણ ક્ષુબેદારે પાઊલને બચાવવા ચાહીને એ નનબા શમંધી તેઓને અટકાએવા ને જેને તરતાં આવડતું હુતું તેઓ ને હુકન આએપો કે તને પેહેલાં[દરીઆનાં કુદીને કાંઠા પર ન

44 And the rest, some on boards, and some on broken pieces of the ship. And so it came to pass, that they escaped all safe to land.

૪૪ ને જે બાકી તે તને કેટલાએક પાટી પર ને કેટલાએક વાંાઁણુનાઁના[કકડાઆ]પર ન પછી એંનજ થઊં કે તે શઘ્ર તા કીનારા પર શલામત પહોંચા

CHAP. XXVIII.

અઠાવીશના અધ

1 And when they were escaped, then they knew that the island was called Milita.

૧ ને તેઓએ શલામતી પાંના પર ાણું કે તે બેટ ભેલીતે કે હવાએછે

2 And the barbarous people shewed us no little kindness for they kindled a fire, and received us every one, because of the present rain, and because of the cold.

૨ ને તાંહાંના દેશી લેકોએ હુમ પર બહુ દ કીધી કેનકે

બશતા વરશાદને તથા ટાહાડને લીધે તેઓએ આગ શલગાવીને હમ શહુનો અંગીકાર કીધો

3 And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand.

૩ તારે પાઊલે ઔંડલ ભર લાકડાં એકઠાં કરીને આગમાં નાંખા પર ગરમીથી એક શાપ નીકલીને તેણેના હાથ પર બીટલા

4 And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live.

૪ ને તે દેશીઓએ તેના હાથ પર તે હેરૂ લટકતું જોઇને માહે ના કહું કે નીશમે એ નાંણુશ ખુની છે દીથી તે બચાવ પ ં પણ ઇનશાપ્ તેને જીવવા નથી દેતા

5 And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm.

૫ તેણે તો હેરૂને આગમાં નટકી નાંખીને કંઈ ભુદું ન ચહું

6 Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.

૬ પણ તે શ્રુજશે અથવા એકાએક જુએલા પડશે અન તેઓ એ વાટ નેઈ પણ ઘણી વાર વાટ નેતાં ને તેહેને કંઇ અવગુણુ ન થતાં બ્લેઇને તેઓએ વીચાર ફેરવીને કહું કે એ દેવ છે

7 In the same quarters were possessions of the chief man of the island, whose name was Publius; who received us, and lodged us three days courteously.

૭ ને ૫બલીઅશ નાંખે તે બેટના હાકમની નીલકતા તાહાઁ હુતી તેણે હમને અંગીકાર કરીને નીતરસુધીથી તરણું દાહાડા લગી મહુરાણા રાખા

8 And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him.

૮ તાહાર એન થઉં કે પબલીઅશનો બાપ તાવું તથા મ લાણને રોગ નાંદો થઈને શ્રુતો હુતો પાઊલેતેની પાશે માંહે જઇને તથા પરારથના કરીને તે પર પોતાના હાથ મુકીને તેને આરામ

પીધા

9 So when this was done, others also, which had diseases in the island, came, and were healed :

૯ માટે અઁન થ પર બેટાંના બીન નાંદાઓ પણ પાશે આએવા ને શના કરા

10 Who also honoured us with many honours; and when we departed, they laded us with such things as were necessary.

૧૦ ને તેઓએ ઘણી આબરૂથી હુમને આબરૂવાલા કીધા ને હુને નીકલતા હુતા તાારે તેઓએ હુમને જરૂરી શાનાન આએપા

11 And after three months we departed in a ship of Alexandria, which had wintered in the isle, whose sign was Castor and Pollux.

૧૧ ને તરણુ નહીના પછી આલેકાઁદીનું એક વાઁહીં જે શીઆ લાાઁ તે બેટનાં રહું હુતું જેડ઼ેની નીશાણી દીશકુરઇ હતી તે પર હમેં નીકલા

12 And landing at Syraeuse, we tarried there three days.

૧૨ ને હુસૈ ચ્યુરાકુશનાં પાહેીંચીને તરણુ દાણાડા રહા

13 And from thence we fetched a compass, and came to Rhegium: and after one day the south wind blew, and we came the next day to Puteoli:

૧૩ તાંહાઁથી હને ચકર ખાઈને રેગીનાં આએવા ને એક દાહાડા
