The political interviews were interesting mainly because they correlated with what I read in Bill Clinton's memoir last month. As always, the variety of people and topics included in the NPR interviews is satisfying. I would have liked more of some interviews, less of others. Read full review

About the author (1995)

Robert Siegel is the author of nine books of poetry and fiction. His poetry includes The Waters Under the Earth, The Beasts & The Elders and In A Pig's Eye and has received prizes and awards from Poetry, Prairie Schooner, The Transatlantic Review, and America, and the National Endowment for the Arts, among others. Siegel's fiction includes the award-winning Whalesong trilogy, which has been translated into seven languages. He and his wife Ann, a photographer, live with their two cats near the coast of Maine.
