The area: Publisher and Distribution Solutions

gTech Publisher and Distribution Solutions (PDS) extends Google's reach through distribution partners and enables search and display publishers to grow their business using Google's monetization and platform products. The role: Technical Account Manager, Publisher Monetization Technology Group

Our relationships with external partners should run like well-oiled machines, and Google's Partner Solutions Organization (PSO) makes that happen. PSO's Technical Account Managers are technology consultants and liaisons between our external partners and Google's Engineering, Product and Partnerships teams. In this role, you flawlessly lead deployments, implementations and integrations of a variety of our product lines (like Wallet, Shopping/Offers). As the resident technical expert, you also work closely with the Partnerships team to monitor our products' performance for our partners, develop tools that address partners' technological and business needs and identify opportunities that scale and grow Google's partnerships business.

Technical Account Managers combine technical and entrepreneurial skills to establish strategic relationships with top partners like the New York Times, Electronic Arts, eBay and NBC. You will drive revenue growth by implementing cutting edge products together with our partners. Your ideas, input, and technology experience will solidify Google’s strategic partnerships across the AdSense, Ad Exchange and AdMeld product lines. To be successful in this role, strong problem-solving capabilities, a consultative client management approach and key technical skills is needed. TAMs also work cross-functionally with Sales, Product Management, Engineering and Product Marketing to drive new product and service offerings for our clients as well as to improve internal operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide post-implementation training, consulting services, and best practices to clients.
  • Work with business leaders to develop strategy including best practices, change management, and monetization analysis. Identify, drive and optimize the revenue flow from new business opportunities by leveraging Google technologies.
  • Perform implementation reviews, evangelize new product features and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of technical challenges.
  • Improve product feature offerings by providing partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams including Product Development and Engineering.
  • Work with sales account managers in a pre-sales context to conduct product demonstrations and review contract terms.

Minimum qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience).
  • Knowledge of SQL, HTML, and JavaScript or prior experience troubleshooting
    technical issues.
  • Background in one object-oriented (e.g. Java, Objective C)
    language.
  • 2 years of relevant work experience in internet and related technologies. 2 years experience working in a client-facing capacity.

Preferred qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or a related technical field preferred. MBA is a plus.
  • 6 years relevant work experience, including 4 years industry experience.
  • Excellent business sense, problem-solving, leadership, project management, communication and technical skills.
  • Ability to absorb complex technical concepts and communicate them to a non-technical audience effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to own and drive to completion projects with positive business impact.
  • Familiarity with the ad serving industry, ad exchanges and ad networks.
